Murray Chessell OAM was a member of the Rotary Club of Kew for 51 years, before retiring as an active member in 2024. He was then made an honorary member and present at the changeover to present the first award in his name. Murray was President in 1980 -1981. The list of Murray’s contributions to the work of the Rotary Club of Kew and to Rotary in general is substantial and in recognition the Rotary Club of Kew decided to institute the “Murray Chessell Award for Rotarian of the Year”.
